Jimbo Wood is a native of Anniston, Alabama. As a student at the University of Georgia, Jimbo worked with the football and men’s basketball teams through the University’s Sports Medicine Department before graduating with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science.
Returning to Alabama, Jimbo earned his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and physical therapy from University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Physical Therapy. The next four years found Jimbo in private practice before opening Horizon Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Inc. in the spring of 2005.
In 2010 and 2011, Horizon Physical Therapy was named one of the top 50 businesses world-wide owned and operated by a UGA graduate. His clinical specialties include sacroiliac joint dysfunctions and overuse injuries in runners, cyclists, and tri-athletes.
Jimbo is married to Beth, and they have two children, Davis and Porter. Jimbo and his family are now residing in Victor, Idaho, where they can take advantage of all that the Teton Mountains have to offer, while continuing to oversee operations at Horizon. Jimbo attends First B of Jackson, and he is an avid runner, mountain biker, fly fisherman, and skier.
